Target Information
Coagulation factor II (thrombin) receptor-like 1 (F2RL1) is a 7-transmembrane G-protein-coupled receptor belonging to the protease-activated receptor (PAR) family. It is activated by trypsin but not by thrombin, through proteolytic cleavage of its extracellular N-terminus. The newly generated N-terminus acts as a tethered ligand to activate the receptor. The F2RL1 gene consists of two exons and is widely expressed in human tissues. The predicted protein sequence shares 83% identity with the mouse receptor.
