Target Information
Integrin-linked kinase (ILK) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of beta-1 integrin. ILK plays a key role in transducing extracellular matrix signals through integrins, regulating intracellular and extracellular functions. It contains four ankyrin-like repeats and associates with beta integrins to mediate integrin-dependent signal transduction. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
