Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Spermatogenesis is a complex process regulated by extracellular and intracellular factors and by interactions among testicular interstitial cells, Sertoli cells, and germ cells. This gene is expressed in Sertoli cells but not in germ cells. Lack of expression has been observed in patients with spermatogenic arrest at the spermatocyte stage, a condition that can lead to oligospermia or azoospermia.
The encoded proteins contain plant homeodomain (PHD) finger domains, also known as leukemia-associated protein (LAP) domains, which are believed to be involved in transcriptional regulation. This protein localizes to the nucleus of transfected cells and is implicated in the transcriptional regulation of spermatogenesis. Two isoforms are produced by alternative transcript variants.
