P2Y1는 ADP 결합을 통해 혈소판 형태 변화를 유도하고, 인산화효소 C 활성화를 통해 세포 내 칼슘 이온을 동원하여 혈소판 응집을 유발하는 퓨린성 수용체입니다. 또한, 산화질소(NO) 방출을 매개하며 신경 신호 전달 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다. P2Y1은 뇌를 포함한 다양한 조직에서 발현되는 것으로 보고되었습니다. 인간 배아, 폐, 태반 라이브러리에서 ESTs가 분리되었습니다.
