Target Information
SENP8 (Cysteine protease FKSG8; DEN1; FKSG8; HsT17512; NEDP1; PRSC2; SUMO/sentrin specific protease family member 8)는 ULP 계열 deubiquitinase에 속하는 새로운 cysteine protease입니다.
ULP 계열 단백질은 C-말단의 핵심 촉매 도메인과 N-말단의 기질 특이성을 결정하는 확장 부위를 포함합니다.
SENP8은 약 24 kDa 크기의 단백질로 NEDD8 경로 조절에 중요한 역할을 하며, preNEDD8을 성숙형으로 전환시키고 Cullins 및 p53과 같은 기질에서 NEDD8을 제거합니다.
이는 과도한 neddylation을 방지하고 mono-neddylated cullin 수준을 유지하여 SCF ubiquitin ligase의 효율적 작용을 돕습니다.
