Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells and may also be found on myeloid leukemia cells, particularly of monocytic lineage. CD19 serves as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR) and plays a central regulatory role in B cell proliferation and differentiation. Mutations in CD19 can lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression is associated with B cell hyperactivity.
