Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells (kappa or lambda light chains) and can also be found on myeloid leukemia cells, especially monocytic lineage.
CD19 functions as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR), regulating B cell activation and proliferation. Mutations lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression causes B cell hyperactivity.
