Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

The PLAU gene encodes a serine protease involved in extracellular matrix degradation and may play a role in tumor cell migration and proliferation.
A specific polymorphism in this gene has been associated with late-onset Alzheimer’s disease and altered fibrin-binding affinity.
This protein converts plasminogen to plasmin by cleaving an Arg-Val bond. Plasmin subsequently cleaves this protein into a two-chain derivative (HMW-uPA), connected by a disulfide bond between the A- and B-chains.
HMW-uPA can be further processed into LMW-uPA, which remains proteolytically active but does not bind the uPA receptor.
Alternative splicing results in multiple isoforms.
