Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
CA125 determinant is present on a high molecular weight, mucin-like glycoprotein. It is found in tissues derived from coelomic and mullerian epithelium (pleura, pericardium, peritoneum) and in epithelial cells of fallopian tube, endometrium, endocervix, pancreas, colon, gall bladder, stomach, kidney, apocrine sweat gland, and mammary gland.
Detected in ovarian tumors of serous, endometrioid, or clear cell types and adenocarcinomas of mullerian origin.
