Target Information
GOT2 (Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase 2) is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme that exists in cytoplasmic (GOT1) and mitochondrial (GOT2) forms. It plays a critical role in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. Both forms are homodimeric and share close homology.
