Target Information
TSPAN12 is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Most members are cell-surface proteins characterized by four hydrophobic domains. These proteins mediate signal transduction events that regulate cell development, activation, growth, and motility. The protein encoded by this gene plays a role in these cellular processes.
