Target Information
EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor)는 다양한 성장 인자에 반응하는 수용체 티로신 키나아제로, 과발현 시 여러 종류의 암과 연관되어 있습니다. EGFR은 인간 7번 염색체에 위치한 EGFR 유전자에 의해 암호화되며, HER/ErbB 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다 (ERbB2, ERbB3, ERbB4 포함).
EGFR은 막관통형 수용체로, EGF(Epidermal Growth Factor)나 TGF-α(Transforming Growth Factor α) 등의 리간드 결합 시 이합체화(dimerization) 후 세포질 도메인 내 티로신 잔기의 자가인산화(autophosphorylation)가 일어납니다.
EGFR 과발현은 두경부, 뇌, 방광, 위, 유방, 폐, 자궁내막, 자궁경부, 외음부, 난소, 식도 및 편평상피세포암 등 다양한 종양에서 관찰됩니다.
