This antibody detects endogenous levels of total Talin protein.
Target Information
Talin is a multifunctional constituent of cell-substratum attachment sites, a high molecular weight protein (225–235 kDa) found in various tissues and cell types. It is localized at specific adherens junctions and cell-matrix associations characterized by filamentous actin at the cytoplasmic face of the junctional complex. In cultured cells, Talin is mainly found at adhesion plaques and fibrillar streaks underlying cell surface fibronectin. It interacts with vinculin and integrin at adhesion plaques.
