Target Information
The DSTN gene encodes an actin depolymerizing protein belonging to the actin-binding ADF family.
This family enhances the turnover rate of actin in vivo.
The DSTN protein severs actin filaments (F-actin) and binds actin monomers (G-actin).
Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.
