For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 are inhibitory enzymes of the matrix metalloproteinase family, crucial for maintaining connective tissue integrity.
TIMP-2 binds to both latent (pro) and active forms of 72 kDa Type IV collagenase (MMP-2 or gelatinase A) and the active form of 92 kDa Type IV collagenase (MMP-9 or gelatinase B).
It inhibits the proteolytic invasiveness of tumor cells and normal placental trophoblast cells.
