Product Specific Information

The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), a 205 kDa integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation that enhances antigen-specific T cell immunity. CD205 is highly expressed by CD8⁺ dendritic cells and also found in bone marrow Gr1⁺ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells.

Note: CD205 binds PE-Cy5.5 antibody and streptavidin conjugates; avoid using this format on CD205⁺ DCs.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells. Recommended ≤0.03 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize titration for best performance.

Fluorophore Characteristics:
PE-eFluor® 610 is excited by 488–561 nm lasers and emits at 607 nm. Use a 610/20 band-pass filter (PE-Texas Red® equivalent). Ensure instrument compatibility.

Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using:

• IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49)
• 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-57)
  Clone-specific performance after fixation should be empirically determined.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD205 (LY75, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is an endocytic receptor that mediates antigen uptake and presentation, enhancing T cell immunity. It is highly expressed in CD8⁺ dendritic cells and variably expressed in other immune and epithelial cells. CD205 dysfunction is associated with conditions such as pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
