Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The CDKN2A gene produces multiple transcript variants differing in their first exons.
Two variants encode CDK4 kinase inhibitors, while another transcript (ARF) encodes a structurally distinct protein that stabilizes p53 by binding to MDM2, preventing its degradation.
Despite structural differences, all variants contribute to G1 cell cycle regulation.
CDKN2A is frequently mutated or deleted in various tumors and functions as an important tumor suppressor gene.
