Target Information
CUG-BP1과 CUG-BP2는 in vitro에서 (CUG)8 올리고뉴클레오타이드에 특이적으로 결합하는 단백질입니다. 정상 세포에서는 CUG-BP1이 주요 결합 활성을 가지며, DM 세포에서는 핵 내 CUG-BP2 결합 활성이 증가합니다. 두 단백질은 새로운 이형 핵 리보핵단백질(hnRNP)인 hNab50의 아이소폼입니다. CUG-BP1은 RNA CUG 삼중 반복 결합 단백질로, 다양한 RNA의 스플라이싱과 번역을 조절합니다. DM의 DMPK에서 RNA CUG 반복의 확장은 CUG-BP1의 결합 활성 및 C/EBPb 전사 인자의 번역 변화를 유발합니다. CUG-BP1은 C/EBPb mRNA의 서로 다른 AUG 코돈으로부터의 개시를 조절하는 중요한 인자입니다.
