Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
SLC1A5 (Solute carrier family 1, neutral amino acid transporter, member 5) is part of the Na⁺-dependent amino acid transporter superfamily.
It has broad substrate specificity with a preference for zwitterionic amino acids and sodium dependence.
Accepts substrates such as glutamine, asparagine, branched-chain, and aromatic amino acids, but excludes methylated, anionic, and cationic amino acids.
Also acts as a cell surface receptor for feline endogenous virus RD114, baboon M7 endogenous virus, and type D simian retroviruses.
