TSC22D4는 leucine zipper 전사 조절 인자 계열인 TSC22 도메인 패밀리의 구성원입니다. DNA 결합 전사 억제 인자로 작용하며, 포도당 항상성과 인슐린 감수성 조절에 관여합니다. 또한 간세포에서 지방 생성 유전자 발현의 음성 조절자로 작용하여 초저밀도 지단백(VLDL) 방출을 조절합니다. 신경 돌기 신장 및 생존에도 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
