Target Information
ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs)는 RAS superfamily에 속하는 저분자량 GTP 결합 단백질입니다. 예측된 182-아미노산 ARL3 (ADP-ribosylation like factor) 단백질은 rat ARL3와 97%, human ARF1과 43%의 아미노산 서열 동일성을 공유합니다. ARL3는 N-myristoylation 부위인 glycine을 2번 위치에 가지며, RAS family의 다른 멤버에서 발견되는 C-말단 근처 cysteine 잔기를 결여합니다. Northern blot 분석에서 모든 조직에서 1 kb ARL3 전사체가 검출되었으며, 심장과 폐에서 가장 높은 발현을 보였습니다. 5.5 kb 전사체는 대부분의 조직에서 검출되었으며, 뇌에서 가장 높은 발현을 나타냈습니다. Immunoblot 분석에서는 인간 종양 세포주에서 ARL3가 검출되었으나 정상 설치류 세포에서는 검출되지 않았습니다. ARL3는 GTP를 결합하지만 cholera toxin 의존성 ADP-ribosylation 활성은 없으며, 따라서 ARF-like 단백질로 분류됩니다.
