Target Information
ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs)는 RAS superfamily에 속하는 저분자량 GTP 결합 단백질입니다. ARL3(ADP-ribosylation like factor) 단백질은 182개의 아미노산으로 구성되어 있으며, rat ARL3와 97%의 아미노산 서열 유사성을 보입니다. ARL3는 N-myristoylation 부위에 glycine을 가지며, RAS family의 다른 구성원들과 달리 C 말단 근처에 cysteine 잔기가 없습니다. Northern blot 분석 결과, ARL3 전사는 대부분의 조직에서 검출되며 심장과 폐에서 가장 높은 발현을 보였습니다. 또한, human tumor cell line에서는 ARL3가 검출되었으나 정상 rodent 세포에서는 검출되지 않았습니다. ARL3는 GTP를 결합하지만 cholera toxin 의존적 ADP-ribosylation 활성은 없어 ARF-like 단백질로 분류됩니다.
