F-box 단백질은 다음 세 가지 클래스로 구분됩니다:
- Fbws: WD-40 도메인 포함
- Fbls: 류신 반복 서열 포함
- Fbxs: 다양한 단백질-단백질 상호작용 모듈 또는 인식 가능한 모티프 없음
FBXW8 단백질은 F-box 모티프 외에 WD-40 도메인을 포함하므로 Fbw 클래스에 속합니다.
