This antibody reacts with the L1 protein of HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58.
Target Information
The papillomavirus major capsid protein L1 is a ~55 kDa protein capable of self-assembling into virus-like particles (VLPs). These VLPs mimic the native 60 nm non-enveloped papillomavirus virion. Purified recombinant L1 proteins can assemble without chaperones (Schiller and Lowy, 2012).
