Target Information
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes encoding secreted signaling proteins. These proteins are involved in oncogenesis and various developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis.
This gene encodes a protein showing 94% amino acid identity to the mouse Wnt5b protein and 80% identity to the human WNT5A protein.
Alternative splicing of this gene generates two transcript variants.
