MAZ는 전사 개시와 종결 모두에 관여하는 전사 인자로 작용할 수 있으며, MYC 프로모터 내 ME1a1 및 ME1a2 부위에 결합하여 ME1a1에 더 높은 친화성을 보입니다. 또한 Sp1 전사 인자 패밀리의 프로모터 내 G/C-rich 부위에도 결합하며, 염증 유도성 serum amyloid A 단백질의 발현을 조절합니다. [UniProt]
