Target Information
EDG7 (LPA3) is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family and functions as a cellular receptor for lysophosphatidic acid, mediating calcium mobilization. It predominantly couples to G(q/11) alpha proteins. EDG7 is expressed in human prostate and in rodent brain, kidney, lung, placenta, prostate, and testis. ESTs have been isolated from normal prostate as well as cancer libraries of head/neck, ovary, and thyroid.
