GATA2 (GATA binding protein 2)는 GATA 전사인자 패밀리에 속하며, 적혈구 전구세포의 증식 및 분화 조절 신호 경로에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. GATA1부터 GATA6까지 6가지 전사인자가 존재하며, GATA2는 내피세포에서 endothelin-1 유전자 발현을 조절하는 전사 활성인자로 작용합니다. 또한 배아 발생 중 요·생식 및 신경 조직 분화에도 관여합니다.
