This antibody specifically recognizes Mouse IL-23 (IL23A & IL12B Heterodimer).

Target Information

IL-12 is an interleukin produced by dendritic cells, neutrophils, macrophages, and human lymphoblastoid cells upon antigenic stimulation.
It is a heterodimeric cytokine composed of IL-12A (p35) and IL-12B (p40) subunits.

IL-23 shares the IL-12B subunit with IL-12 and includes an IL-23A (IL-23p19) subunit.
Functionally, IL-12 increases vascular endothelial adhesion molecule-1 expression, directs leukocyte migration toward tumors, and facilitates ischemic-hemorrhagic necrosis of tumor tissue.

In contrast, IL-23 is critical for stimulating memory T-cells and the induction, expansion, and maintenance of Th17 cells, which regulate neutrophil chemokines and pro-inflammatory cytokines.
