Target Information
Gp41 is a glycoprotein that, along with gp120, is integral to the process by which HIV enters the cell.
Gp41 is primarily located within the viral envelope; when gp120 binds to a CD4 receptor, gp120 changes its conformation, causing gp41 to become exposed and mediate fusion.
