PA1-331B detects recombinant human liver X receptor (LXR).
It has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.
By Western blot, this antibody detects ~64 kDa and ~80 kDa proteins representing recombinant human LXR alpha and beta.
The immunizing peptide (Cat. # PEP-115) is available for use in neutralization and control experiments.
Target Information
NR1H3 (oxysterols receptor LXR-alpha) is a nuclear receptor with ligand-dependent transcriptional activation activity.
Its interaction with retinoic acid receptor (RXR) converts RXR from a silent DNA-binding partner to an active ligand-binding subunit, mediating retinoid responses through LXRES.
LXRES are DR4-type response elements composed of direct repeats of two similar hexanucleotide half-sites spaced by four nucleotides.
NR1H3 regulates cholesterol homeostasis via MYLIP-dependent ubiquitination of LDLR, VLDLR, and LRP8, and functionally interacts with RORA in liver metabolism regulation.
