Target Information

HLA-DMB (major histocompatibility complex, class II, DM beta), also known as D6S221E, RING7, or HLADMB, is encoded by the HLA-DMB gene located on chromosome 6p21.32.
This molecule forms a heterodimer with HLA-DMA and is found in intracellular vesicles.
HLA-DMB plays a central role in peptide loading of MHC class II molecules by releasing the CLIP molecule from the peptide binding site.
Class II molecules are expressed in antigen-presenting cells, and the beta chain is approximately 26–28 kDa, containing 6 exons.
HLA-DMA and HLA-DMB encode subunits of a functional heterodimer critical for class II antigen presentation.

HLA and MHC antibodies are essential tools in Immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens via high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry.
