Reconstitution: Add 50 µL or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

GDNF is a glycosylated, disulfide-bonded homodimer molecule, first identified as a potent survival factor for midbrain dopaminergic neurons. It rescues these neurons in animal models of Parkinson’s disease and is about 100 times more effective as a survival factor for spinal motor neurons than neurotrophins.
GDNF enhances survival and morphological differentiation of dopaminergic neurons and increases their high-affinity dopamine uptake.
