Target Information
ATP11A is a widely expressed integral membrane ATPase, likely phosphorylated in its intermediate state and involved in ion or molecule transport across membranes.
Increased ATP11A mRNA expression has been observed in murine leukemia cells resistant to farnesyltransferase inhibitors (FTIs). Overexpression of ATP11A confers resistance to FTI SCH66336, while siRNA-mediated knockdown increases sensitivity.
Elevated ATP11A mRNA levels may serve as a predictive marker of metastasis in colorectal cancer patients.
