Target Information
SCRN2 is a member of the secernin family of proteins, which includes SCRN1—a protein involved in the regulation of exocytosis from peritoneal mast cells.
Although little is known about SCRN2, studies suggest that SCRN1 may possess tumor-associated epitopes and its increased expression correlates with poor prognosis in colorectal cancer. This implies that SCRN2 may also play a role in protein secretion or cell growth regulation.
