Product Specific Information

The HIS51 monoclonal antibody reacts with rat CD90 and cross-reacts with mouse CD90.1, a GPI-linked membrane molecule.
In rats, CD90 is expressed by hematopoietic stem cells, immature B cells, thymocytes, neurons, and inflamed endothelia.
In CD90.1-expressing mouse strains (PL and AKR), CD90 is expressed by early hematopoietic cells, thymocytes, and mature T cells.

• Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of rat splenocytes
  • Use ≤ 0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume)
  • Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test
  • Optimize antibody titration for best performance

Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 600 nm.
Use a 610/20 bandpass filter and ensure instrument compatibility.

Staining Recommendations:

• When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.
• Protect vial and samples from light due to photo-induced oxidation sensitivity.

Fixation:
Samples may be stored in:

• IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222)
• 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333)
  for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein in the Immunoglobulin superfamily.
It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer’s cells, and fibroblasts.
Thy-1 may play a role in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other neural events.
