Product Specific Information
The PC61.5 antibody reacts with mouse CD25, the 55 kDa interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain (IL-2Rα). CD25 is expressed by early progenitors of T and B lineage cells and activated mature T and B lymphocytes.
CD25 associates with CD122 (IL-2Rβ) and CD132 (common γ-chain) to form a high-affinity IL-2 receptor. Binding of IL-2 to both high and low affinity classes is inhibited by PC61.5 antibody.
This antibody is validated for flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and recommended at ≤ 0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume).
Brilliant Violet™ 786 (BV786) emits at 786 nm and is suitable for cytometers equipped with a 405 nm violet laser.
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ to minimize non-specific polymer interactions when multiple polymer dyes are used.
Light sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation compatibility: Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C using IC Fixation Buffer or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution. BV786 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information
CD25 (IL2 receptor alpha chain/IL2RA) plays a role in T and B lymphocyte proliferation. The high-affinity IL2 receptor consists of IL2RA, IL2RB, and IL2RG chains. IL2 is produced primarily by mature T cells and functions as a growth, differentiation, and cell death regulator.
Mutations in IL2RA are linked to interleukin 2 receptor alpha deficiency and immune dysregulation.
