This antibody specifically recognizes human SF-1 and cross-reacts with mouse and rat SF-1.
Target Information
Steroidogenic factor-1 (SF-1) is an orphan nuclear receptor involved in the development and differentiation of endocrine organs. It is essential for fetal development of the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, gonads, and adrenal gland.
SF-1 regulates transcription of multiple steroidogenic enzymes from the cytochrome P450 family and contains activation domains AF1 and AF2, which interact with nuclear receptors and coactivators such as SRC-1, GRIP1, CBP, and SMRT.
