Target Information
AIRE는 DNA에 이합체 및 사합체 형태로 결합하는 전사 조절 단백질로, 유전자 발현 조절에 관여합니다. 핵 단백질로서 545개의 아미노산으로 구성되어 있으며 HSR 도메인, 두 개의 PHD-type zinc fingers, SAND 도메인을 포함합니다. AIRE는 고분자 복합체 및 핵 내 구조체를 형성하며, 전사 공동활성화인자 CBP 및 CREBBP와 상호작용합니다. 세 가지 isoform이 보고되었으며, 그중 하나는 nuclear-mediated decay (NMD) 후보로 예측됩니다. AIRE는 면역 조절에 관여하며 E3 ubiquitin ligase 활성을 매개합니다. AIRE 유전자 결함은 희귀 자가면역 질환인 APECED (autoimmune polyendocrinopathy-candidiasis-ectodermal dystrophy)를 유발합니다.
