Product Specific Information

The 8C11 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD325 (N-Cadherin), a 130 kDa member of the Cadherin superfamily. It consists of five extracellular repeats, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic domain. CD325-deficient mice die at day 10 of gestation, showing heart defects and neural tube malformations. CD325 plays a key role in cardiac development, left-right symmetry, and morphogenesis.

This antibody has been validated for flow cytometry using HeLa cells and can be used at 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test.
A test corresponds to staining a cell sample in 100 µL final volume, with 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

• PerCP-eFluor® 710 can replace PE-Cy5, PE-Cy5.5, or PerCP-Cy5.5.
• Excitation: 488 nm (Blue Laser)
• Emission: 710 nm
• Recommended filters: 685 LP dichroic mirror with 710/40 band pass filter (695/40 acceptable alternative).

PerCP-eFluor® 710 conjugated antibodies are stable when fixed with freshly prepared 2% formaldehyde overnight at 4°C. Evaluate compatibility with other fixation protocols as needed.

Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

N-Cadherin (CD325) is a 140 kDa calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein belonging to the cadherin family. It mediates intercellular adhesion through homotypic interactions and is essential for morphogenetic movements during development. Its function depends on interactions with the actin cytoskeleton via catenin proteins, regulated by β-catenin phosphorylation.
N-Cadherin is composed of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region, and a conserved cytoplasmic tail, playing a key role in gastrulation and establishment of left-right asymmetry.
