Target Information
BST2 (CD317, HM1.24 antigen, DAMP-2, tetherin)은 B세포의 발달 및 성장에 관여하는 막 단백질입니다.
BST2의 표면 발현은 pre-B 세포주 DW34의 성장에 영향을 주며, B세포 발달 전 단계부터 형질세포, T세포, 단핵구, NK세포, 수지상세포 및 골수종 세포에서 고도로 발현됩니다.
연구 결과 BST2는 인간 세포에서 레트로바이러스 방출을 억제하는 기능을 가지며, HIV-1의 Vpu 단백질에 의해 그 활성이 억제됩니다.
BST2의 결핍은 Vpu 의존적 바이러스 방출 요구를 제거하며, 이는 HIV/AIDS 치료에 대한 잠재적 전략으로 연구되고 있습니다.
BST2 이상 기능은 구내염(stomatitis)과도 관련이 있습니다.
