For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) regulates cell growth, motility, and morphogenesis by activating tyrosine kinase signaling after binding to the c-Met receptor.
It is secreted by mesenchymal cells and acts as a multifunctional cytokine on epithelial cells.
HGF promotes mitogenesis, motility, and matrix invasion, playing a key role in angiogenesis, tumorigenesis, and tissue regeneration.
It is secreted as an inactive single polypeptide, then cleaved into a 69-kDa alpha-chain and 34-kDa beta-chain linked by a disulfide bond to form the active heterodimeric molecule.
Although it belongs to the plasminogen subfamily of S1 peptidases, HGF has no detectable protease activity.
Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
