Target Information
Deubiquitinase that mediates deubiquitination of target proteins such as BECN1, MITF, SKP2, and USP10, and is involved in processes including autophagy and endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD).
It forms part of a regulatory loop that controls autophagy and p53/TP53 levels by stabilizing complexes containing PIK3C3/VPS34.
USP13 deubiquitinates USP10, a regulator of p53 stability, and interacts with UFD1 to mediate SKP2 deubiquitination.
Also regulates ERAD through deubiquitination of UBL4A and stabilizes SIAH2 independently of deubiquitinase activity.
Preferentially cleaves Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin chains and may cleave ISG15 in vitro.
