Target Information
FGF19 (Fibroblast Growth Factor 19)는 인간 FGF19 유전자로부터 발현되는 단백질로, fibroblast growth factor (FGF) 계열에 속합니다. FGF19 유전자는 염색체 11q13.3에 위치하며, 216개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질로 신호 서열과 FGF 계열에서 보존된 2개의 시스테인 잔기를 포함합니다.
이 유전자의 발현은 태아 뇌에서만 검출되며, 성인 뇌에서는 나타나지 않습니다. FGF19는 간의 단백질 및 글리코겐 합성을 자극하지만 지방합성을 유도하지 않으며, 인슐린이나 Akt kinase의 활성과는 독립적으로 MAP kinase 신호 경로를 통해 작용합니다.
마우스의 상동 단백질은 FGF15로 약 50%의 아미노산 서열 유사성을 가지며 유사한 기능을 수행합니다. 두 단백질은 종종 FGF15/19로 함께 언급됩니다.
