Target Information
FGF19 (Fibroblast Growth Factor 19)는 인간의 FGF19 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질로, fibroblast growth factor (FGF) 패밀리에 속합니다.
FGF19 유전자는 염색체 11q13.3에 위치하며, 216개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질은 시그널 서열과 FGF 패밀리에서 보존된 2개의 시스테인 잔기를 포함합니다.
이 유전자의 발현은 태아 뇌 조직에서만 검출되며, 성인 뇌에서는 나타나지 않습니다.
FGF19는 간에서 단백질 및 글리코겐 합성을 자극하지만, 지방 합성은 유도하지 않습니다. 이러한 효과는 인슐린이나 Akt 단백질 키나아제의 활성과는 독립적이며, MAP kinase 신호 경로를 통해 단백질 번역 기계 구성 요소를 활성화하고 글리코겐 신타아제 활성을 자극합니다.
쥐의 상동 단백질은 FGF15로, 약 50%의 아미노산 서열 유사성을 가지며 유사한 기능을 수행합니다. 이 두 단백질은 종종 FGF15/19로 함께 언급됩니다.
