Target Information

Zinc-finger CCCH domain-containing protein 8 (ZC3H8) acts as a transcriptional repressor of the GATA3 promoter.
It binds specifically to the 5'-AGGTCTC-3' sequence within the intronic regulatory region (IRR) of the GATA3 gene.
ZC3H8 overexpression induces thymocyte apoptosis, suggesting a potential role in thymocyte homeostasis regulation.
