Product Specific Information

The eBio299Arm monoclonal antibody is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood.
Use isotype control at the same concentration as experimental antibody.

Target Information

Isotype controls help distinguish non-specific background signal from specific antibody signal by providing a negative control with no relevant antigen specificity.
They are primarily used in flow cytometry but also applicable in ChIP, immunohistochemistry, and gel shift assays.
Isotype controls should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody, and if directly labeled, the same fluorophore should be used for best results.
