Invitrogen™ ChargeSwitch™ Plasmid ER Mini Kit
The ChargeSwitch™ Plasmid ER Mini Kit uses magnetic bead-based technology to allow for rapid and efficient purification of plasmid DNA from 1–5 ml of fresh, overnight bacterial cultures without the use of chaotropic salts, organic solvents, or ethanol, yielding up to 20 μg of transfection-grade plasmid DNA in about 10 minutes after sample preparation.

High Quality, High Yield Plasmid DNA
The ChargeSwitch™ Plasmid ER (Endotoxin Reduced) Mini Kit allows rapid and efficient purification of highly pure plasmid DNA from E. coli cells. After preparing cell lysates, plasmid DNA can be purified in less than 10 minutes using a novel magnetic bead-based technology. The beads are conjugated to a unique ionizable functional group whose affinity for nucleic acids is pH-dependent, enabling efficient purification without chaotropic salts, ethanol, or organic solvents.
Yields up to 20 μg plasmid DNA are typically obtained from 1–5 ml bacterial cultures. The kit includes Endotoxin Reduction Reagent (ETRR), lowering endotoxin levels to less than 50 EU/μg DNA, making it ideal for mammalian transfection.
Compatible with MagnaRack™ Magnetic Rack
The ChargeSwitch™ Plasmid ER Mini Kit requires the use of a magnetic rack. We recommend using the MagnaRack™ Magnetic Rack, a two-piece magnetic separation rack with a magnetic base station and removable tube rack. The rack accommodates 12 tubes and enables simple “on the magnet” and “off the magnet” sample processing.
