Reconstitute the lyophilized product with deionized water (or equivalent) to achieve an antibody concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
The V5 epitope tag (GKPIPNPLLGLDST) is derived from a small epitope present on the P and V proteins of the paramyxovirus of simian virus 5 (SV5).
V5 Tag Antibody is a useful tool for detecting recombinant proteins containing the V5 epitope.
THE™ V5 Tag Antibody, mAb, Mouse is produced from the hybridoma resulting from fusion of SP2/0-Ag14 myeloma and B-lymphocytes obtained from mice immunized with V5 tag peptide conjugated to KLH.
Target Information
Epitope tags provide a method to localize gene products in various cell types, study protein topology and complexes, identify associated proteins, and characterize low abundance or poorly immunogenic proteins when specific antibodies are unavailable.
The V5 epitope tag is derived from a small epitope (Pk) present on the P and V proteins of the paramyxovirus SV5.
It is typically used with all 14 amino acids (GKPIPNPLLGLDST), though a shorter 9 amino acid sequence (IPNPLLGLD) is also used.
