C1orf186 (also known as RHEX, Regulator Of Hemoglobinization And Erythroid Cell Expansion) is a protein-coding gene involved in erythropoietin-mediated signaling and positive regulation of erythrocyte differentiation. It is localized to the plasma membrane and acts as a signal transduction factor in the EPO-EPOR pathway, promoting erythroid cell differentiation. Related diseases include Gallbladder Benign Neoplasm and Gallbladder Adenoma.
